USMI's work is made possible through a growing network of Moldovan and international partners — organizations that share our belief in Moldova's potential and our commitment to strengthening the bonds between our two nations.
Together with our partners, we build the programs, connections, and civic infrastructure that a stronger Moldova requires.
WKF Moldova is the national kickboxing federation of the Republic of Moldova and the official Moldovan affiliate of the World Kickboxing Federation — a global body active in more than 145 countries. Under the leadership of President Rustam Alimov, WKF Moldova has established itself as a serious force in European combat sports, hosting the WKF European Cup with over 700 athletes from 17 nations, the 2025 WKF European Championships, and the WKF World Referee Seminar.
For USMI, WKF Moldova represents the universal language of sport — a platform that builds discipline, national pride, and international connection among Moldovan youth and athletes competing on the world stage.
The National Olympic and Sports Committee of Moldova (CNOS) is the country's supreme sports authority — a non-governmental body recognized by the International Olympic Committee since 1993. Founded in 1991, CNOS represents Moldova at the Olympic Games and oversees sports development across the nation. At its helm is Nicolae Juravschi, a two-time Olympic gold medalist in canoeing and one of Moldova's most celebrated athletes.
For USMI, the Olympic Committee represents a natural partnership: sport as diplomacy, excellence as aspiration, and Moldova's athletes as ambassadors of their nation's strength and character on the world stage.
The Handball Federation of Moldova is the governing body for handball across the Republic of Moldova, a member of both the International Handball Federation (IHF) since 1992 and the European Handball Federation (EHF). Led by President Ion Onta, the Federation oversees men's and women's national teams, youth development programs, and the national club league — working to grow handball at every level of Moldovan society, from grassroots participation to international competition.
For USMI, the Handball Federation represents a natural partnership: sport as a bridge between generations, between communities, and between Moldova and the wider world.
The National Commission of the Republic of Moldova for UNESCO (CNRM) is the governmental body that coordinates Moldova's engagement with UNESCO — the United Nations' agency for education, science, and culture. Established in September 1993 and operating under the Ministry of Culture, the Commission manages UNESCO's Participation Programme in Moldova, oversees World Heritage nominations, and champions the preservation of the country's intangible cultural heritage.
In 2025, Moldova was elected to the UNESCO Executive Board for the first time — a milestone reflecting the country's growing international standing. For USMI, the CNRM is a partner in elevating Moldova's cultural voice on the world stage, connecting our shared belief that culture is the foundation of a confident, outward-looking nation.
UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, operates in more than 130 countries — and Moldova has become one of its most critical operational theaters. As of late 2024, Moldova hosts approximately 136,000 Ukrainian refugees, one of the highest refugee-to-population ratios in Europe. UNHCR leads the Refugee Coordination Forum in Moldova, providing legal assistance, cash support, psychosocial services, and labor market inclusion programs.
USMI shares UNHCR's belief in the dignity of every displaced person and in Moldova's extraordinary generosity toward those fleeing conflict. Moldova's open-door response to the humanitarian crisis at its border is itself a reflection of the democratic values we seek to support and strengthen.
Public Association "Speranta 87" is a Moldovan civil society organization dedicated to humanitarian action and community support. Led by Director Luminița Drumea, the association implements humanitarian projects and provides direct assistance to refugees from Ukraine — contributing to Moldova's broader effort to shelter and support one of the largest displaced populations in Europe relative to its size.
Rooted in the values of solidarity and human dignity, Speranta 87 works on the ground to meet the practical and social needs of vulnerable people forced to flee their homes. Their work reflects the best of Moldovan civic spirit — a country that has consistently opened its doors to those in need, despite its own limited resources.
The Union of Sugar Producers of Moldova is the industry association representing Moldova's sugar production sector — a strategically important agricultural industry that supports thousands of farming families across the country's northern regions. The Union brings together Moldova's two major sugar producers, Südzucker Moldova and Moldova-Zahar, under one voice for dialogue with government, advocacy for sugar beet farmers, and long-term stabilization of the industry.
The Union's leading member is Südzucker Moldova — the country's largest sugar producer, operating factories in Drochia and Fălești, and a subsidiary of Südzucker AG, the world's largest sugar producer. At the helm of Südzucker Moldova is Pavel Filip, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova (2016–2019), who brings deep institutional knowledge of government, economic reform, and Moldova's path toward European integration.
Founded in 2003 by Nicolae Madan, Basconslux is one of the largest construction enterprises in the Republic of Moldova. Over more than two decades, the company has built a reputation for quality residential and commercial development, delivering homes to nearly 5,000 families across Moldova while also completing contracts for hospitals, offices, and infrastructure projects.
With a workforce of close to 900 professionals and significant investment in modern construction equipment and technology, Basconslux has become a cornerstone of Moldova's real estate sector — committed to making quality housing accessible and to building the kind of stable, livable communities that Moldova's future depends on.
Linella is Moldova's largest national retail chain — a 100% Moldovan company and, for more than 23 years, the leading promoter of modern trade across the country. With over 165 stores from Chișinău to the most remote districts, Linella reaches more Moldovan families than any other retailer, serving as the main store for countless communities outside the capital. Part of the Dragan Group, Linella sources over 90% of its assortment from Moldovan companies — a concrete commitment to local producers and the agricultural communities that supply them.
Beyond retail, Linella invests actively in Moldova's future, from supporting local farmers and small-scale producers to large-scale environmental initiatives including a reforestation effort that has planted 20,000 trees across the country. For USMI, Linella is a homegrown Moldovan success story with national reach, deep community roots, and a shared conviction that Moldova's people and its land deserve investment, care, and a confident future.
Vinăria Bostavan is one of Moldova's largest and most internationally recognized wine producers — a flagship of the country's most celebrated industry. With over 700 hectares of vineyards, a processing capacity of 20,000 tons of grapes per season, and exports to more than 25 countries, Bostavan has placed Moldovan wine on tables across Central Europe and beyond. Part of the broader Purcari Winery Group and guided by Italian enologist Federico Giotto, the winery combines Old World heritage with modern European production standards.
For USMI, Bostavan represents one of Moldova's most powerful stories of what the country can offer the world — proof that Moldovan craftsmanship, land, and ambition can reach any market when given the right support and visibility.
